In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty vehicles and equipment to ensure optimal performance, safety, and compliance. Your expertise will help keep our fleet running smoothly, minimizing downtime and supporting our operational excellence. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, hydraulics, and electrical systems of trucks and trailers. Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, tire service, alignment, shocks & struts replacement, and air brake system inspections. Fabricate parts or modify existing components using welding and hand tools to meet specific repair needs. Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues efficiently. Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, or farm machinery for repair or movement purposes. Conduct vehicle inspections to identify wear and tear or potential failures; perform preventative maintenance to extend vehicle lifespan. Assist with assembly of new equipment or parts as needed; support equipment repair projects across various industrial machinery. Skills Proven dealership experience with heavy truck repair or trailer maintenance is highly preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, HVAC systems, and vehicle electrical systems. Skilled in fabrication techniques including welding, soldering, and the use of power tools for custom repairs. Ability to read and interpret schematics for electrical wiring, hydraulic systems, and mechanical assemblies. Experience operating heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, or other industrial equipment. Familiarity with automotive diagnostics software and troubleshooting tools specific to heavy-duty vehicles. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members.
