Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking an experienced heavy equipment mechanic. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience in automotive and heavy equipment repair, as well as diesel engines. ensuring the efficient maintenance and operation of our vehicles and machines. This position will be responsible for scheduling and completing maintenance, coordinating and completing repairs, and implementing safety protocols to ensure optimal fleet performance. Responsibilities Conduct regular inspections of fleet vehicles to ensure compliance with safety standards. Coordinate with shop chief to complete routine maintenance, including shocks struts, hydraulics, HVAC systems, and tire service. Repair damaged equipment/vehicles in house and in the field Maintain accurate records of vehicle repairs, maintenance history, and inventory of parts. Fabricate necessary components or modifications to enhance equipment and vehicle performance. Ensure all repairs are completed using proper hand tools and techniques. Implement cost-effective strategies for fleet management while maintaining high-quality service. Manage inventory and shop materials Requirements Proven experience in automotive and heavy equipment repair with a strong understanding of mechanical systems. Familiarity with fabrication processes and the ability to use hand tools effectively. Strong leadership skills with the ability to deal with people. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to communicate effectively with team members and other departments. A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications in automotive repair are a plus.
