Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic 3 Years Experience Required Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and vehicles. Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance inspections (PMI) and repair processes to include but not limited to, Diesel and gas engines, air & hydraulic braking systems, suspensions systems, drive train assemblies, automatic transmissions, differentials, hydraulic lift systems, electrical systems and body assemblies Troubleshooting to the highest level Repairs on a variety of Semi Tractors, Tailers and Equipment, Cummins, Macks and Detroit Diesels Ensure accurate diagnosis based on customer statements and determine appropriate repairs needed Knowledge of tools and equipment beings used Ensure timely and effective repairs of any problems found during inspection Prepare and complete required paperwork Qualifications KC'S Truck Equipment is seeking a high energy, self motivated Service Mechanic State Certifications Maintain an organized and safe work environment Strong communication skills Pays Great attention to detail and accuracy Strong working knowledge with complex heavy truck diagnostics and repairs including engines, transmission, electrical, steering and suspensions ASE Certification & CDL Endorsement a plus High School Diploma or equivalent (Trade school preferred as well) Valid drivers license 3 years experience servicing and maintaining diesel engines Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair medium to heavy duty vehicles Must have a complete set of hand tools and be proficient in all areas of truck repair Must be detailed oriented and able to work in a team environment Ability to work intelligently with comment sense & keep work environment clean Benefits Monday - Friday 7a-5p Weekend availability Medical Insurance Competitive wages $27-35 hourly wages 401(k) % matching contributions after 6 months of service 10 days of paid time off after 1 year of service Holiday Pay after 90 days of service Uniforms provided with laundry service
