Job Description

Marlette Chevrolet Buick, part of the McDonald Auto Group, is looking for an experienced Diesel Technician to join our growing service team. If you take pride in accurate diagnostics, quality repairs, and getting customers back on the road right the first time, we want to talk to you. What You'll Do Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, and related systems on Chevrolet/GM diesel platforms (Duramax experience a plus) Perform routine maintenance, warranty repairs, and heavy-line diesel work Use diagnostic equipment and factory service tools to identify issues efficiently Document work performed accurately in our shop management system Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area Communicate clearly with service advisors on repair status and findings What We're Looking For Michigan State Certification required (Mechanic Certification in the applicable diesel/heavy-duty repair category — must be current and valid) Diesel technician experience (GM/Duramax platform experience preferred) ASE certifications a plus (diesel-specific certs preferred) Own tools required Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Strong diagnostic skills and attention to detail Team-first attitude and reliable attendance What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience (flat rate/commission structure) Growth opportunities across a 5-store dealer group Manufacturer and in-house training Health/dental/vision benefits Paid time off Employee vehicle purchase program Apply today and join a team that values craftsmanship, accountability, and long-term careers in the automotive industry.
