options Paid time off, orientation, training, and sick time Retirement plan Safety equipment provided Referral program Duties of the senior diesel mechanic: Independently troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical, electrical, air, and hydraulic systems Complete routine safety checks, tune-ups, and DOT inspections to minimize vehicle downtime Assist or lead junior mechanics, delegate shop tasks, and ensure strict adherence to OSHA safety standards Accurately document all fleet repairs, account for inventory parts, and perform roadside assistance when needed Requirements of the senior diesel mechanic: 10+ years of proven, progressive mechanical experience on light to heavy equipment, including tractors, trailers, excavators, and forklifts Expert knowledge of diesel and gasoline engines, hydraulic systems, and electronic systems like ECMs Current DOT Inspector Certification and HVAC Certification required Valid driver's license with a clean record (Class A CDL or willingness to obtain one) Strong leadership capabilities and commitment to maintaining shop compliance and paperwork standards Additional information: Apply today!
