Technical Proficiency Full Job Description Position Summary:
We are seeking a Diesel Fleet Technician to oversee the inspection, diagnosis, and repair of our light and medium duty commercial vehicle fleet at our St. Paul location.
Key Responsibilities:
Diesel Diagnostics & Repair:
Perform complete diagnostic procedures, preventive maintenance, and repairs on diesel engines, drivetrain, hydraulic systems, suspensions, and electrical systems.
Perform routine vehicle maintenance:
Annual DOT compliance, oil changes, etc.
Electronic Troubleshooting:
Utilize electronic diagnostic tools and software to identify system malfunctions and mechanical errors.
Upfit Maintenance:
Service auxiliary equipment commonly mounted on F-550 chassis, including lift gates and power take-off (PTO) units
Fleet Maintenance:
Maintain accurate service records, track inventory, execute scheduled PM checks, and adhere to all shop safety standards and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
Qualifications:
Experience:
1-3 years of professional experience in diesel equipment diagnosis, engine repair, and light/medium-duty vehicle maintenance.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in hydraulic systems, chassis components, electrical troubleshooting, and welding
Requirements:
Valid Driver's License DOT Medical Card ability to lift up to 70-125 lbs Willingness to work seasonal overtime as needed Why Join Us?: We are committed to the growth of our employees.
