Job Description

We are looking for an Entry-Level Diesel Technician to join our Distribution business in White Bear Lake, MN. In this role will make an impact in the following ways: Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop Disassemble packages and engines, clean parts, assemble packages Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products Maintain own tools To be successful in this role you will need the following: Primarily engaged in maintenance or basic repairs/diagnostics Requires direct supervision and review of workmanship quality Demonstrates an understanding on access to engine repair process information sources. Understands after-treatment system and can identify major components and their function at a rudimentary level. Has worked on external components on a diesel engine and understands the basic concepts. Has some knowledge of engine diagnostic software Compensation and Benefits Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Education, Licenses, Certifications:
Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred), Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution, locally valid driving permit (Preferred) This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
Entry level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products Disassemble packages and engines, clean parts, assemble packages A current valid license is required for this role Must be 18 years old with 2 years driving experience This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations A CDL may be required to obtain upon hire Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older Job Service Organization Cummins Inc.
