  • Full-time Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team.
In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty equipment, including trucks, industrial machinery, farm equipment, and construction vehicles. Your expertise will ensure that all equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably, supporting our operations and customer service commitments. This position offers an exciting opportunity for mechanics with a passion for heavy equipment and automotive systems to showcase their skills in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, air brakes, suspensions, and electrical systems across various heavy equipment and vehicles. Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire services, brake repairs, alignment checks, and shocks & struts replacement to maximize equipment lifespan. Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues accurately. Operate heavy machinery including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tractor-trailers safely and efficiently during repair or testing procedures. Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding and hand tools to meet specific repair requirements. Maintain detailed service records of all repairs and maintenance performed on each piece of equipment. Assist in equipment assembly, welding projects, and preventive maintenance programs to ensure optimal operational readiness. Experience Proven dealership experience or extensive background in heavy equipment mechanics is highly preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive diagnostics and vehicle systems repair. Familiarity with Caterpillar machinery, heavy truck repair, farm machinery, industrial equipment, and power tools is advantageous. Experience working with schematics for electrical systems, hydraulics, HVAC systems, and transmissions is essential. Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely while handling tires or large components. Previous service technician experience in vehicle maintenance for truck drivers or fleet operations is a plus. Knowledge of welding techniques such as soldering or arc welding to support fabrication needs.
