The Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for performing comprehensive inspections, preventative maintenance, and minor repairs to ensure proper performance and safety of customer vehicles. Assist with major mechanical repairs. Duties & Responsibilities Perform routine vehicle maintenance and preventative care Perform assigned repairs and preventive maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrication, filter replacements, brakes, wheel seals, minor adjustments, etc. Diagnose and repair Inspect and test for necessary adjustments Assist other mechanics with repairs as requested by supervisor Operate tools, equipment, and machinery according to company safety procedures, and follow established techniques to perform job duties Ensure shop equipment and tools cleaned and put away. Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management Capability to lift minimum of 50 pounds, working in close quarters Paid every Friday Company shirts, coats and uniforms provided, maintained and laundered after 2 weeks employment. Paid time off after 1 year employment. Preferred High School diploma or GED Valid state issued driver's license Three (3) or more years of heavy diesel truck maintenance experience Have own tools appropriate for position
