Responsibilities Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, and brake systems on heavy equipment and trucks Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and inspections to maximize fleet uptime Troubleshoot equipment failures using diagnostic software, tools, and technical manuals Complete accurate service records, work orders, and parts usage in maintenance systems Follow all safety and environmental procedures, ensuring a clean and compliant work area Collaborate with drivers, dispatch, and operations to prioritize and schedule repairs Support continuous improvement of shop processes and participate in ongoing training Required Skills Diesel engine diagnostics and repair Hydraulic systems troubleshooting Pneumatic and brake systems repair Electrical and ECM diagnostics Welding and fabrication Preventive maintenance (PM) on fleets Use of diagnostic software and scan tools Reading technical manuals and schematics Shop and field safety procedures Recordkeeping in maintenance systems
