!! Purpose Wrecker Sales is looking for motivated individuals to join our team of Diesel Mechanic/Installation Technicians. Workload mainly involves inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing our own inventory of used trucks and trailers and installing NEW Tow Truck bodies onto NEW Trucks. Repairs are involved with preventative maintenance inspections and major truck components including air/hydraulic brakes, steering and suspension, drivelines, transmissions, engines, A/C, hydraulics, electrical, and other duties as assigned. NEW installations involve basic project planning and measuring, frame modifications, hydraulic/electrical plumbing and routing, welding of sub-frames, PTO/Pump installation, setting of wrecker bodies onto truck chassis, installation of accessories and final detail and inspection. New tow trucks are very expensive units and are used in emergency situations every day, professionalism and quality of work when servicing these units is a must. For over 45 years, we have grown to become one of North America's largest distributors of towing and recovery equipment. We feature an in-stock inventory of over 150 trucks supported by a full staff of Truck Sales, Administrative, Parts, and Service employees. 1. Must have own hand tools and have the ability to drive a manual transmission. 2. Must have dependable transportation 3. Prior experience in the auto/truck repair industry 4. Electrical, Hydraulic and Welding experience.
