Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Diesel Technician/Mechanic and become a vital part of maintaining and repairing a wide range of heavy-duty trucks. In this energetic role, you will diagnose, troubleshoot, and service diesel trucks and trailers to ensure optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will keep our business running smoothly. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, air brakes, suspension components, and electrical systems. Repair and service semi-trailers. Conduct routine maintenance such as tire service, brake repairs, shocks & struts replacement, and DOT inspections to prevent future issues. Fabricate and modify parts or components as needed using power tools, welding equipment, and hand tools. Operate heavy equipment including cranes and forklifts safely and efficiently. Assist with heavy lifting tasks and perform welding or soldering when necessary for equipment assembly or repair projects. Maintain a clean and safe work area. Qualifications Proven experience working as a Diesel Technician in a dealership or shop setting. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, HVAC systems, suspension components, and other systems. Familiarity with diagnostics software is a plus. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools required for complex repairs. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding environments for extended periods. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members. Valid Driver's License required.
