Job Description

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION'S ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The heavy equipment Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for all repairs and services associated with the heavy equipment. Mechanic will be responsible for assisting service oilers to perform PM's and any other related job duties as assigned.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants for this position must have prior experience and/or knowledge of tasks associated with repairs and servicing of dozers, haulers, blades, scrapers, loaders, pickups, trucks and other light vehicles and maintenance of diesel equipment. Applicants must have the skills required to perform the above duties on a multi-shift operation. Two year diesel technology degree preferred or equivalent experience. Successful applicant must possess a valid driver's license through the duration of employment. Successful applicant must meet all insurability requirements as specified by Westmoreland's policies or Driver's insurance provider.
SALARY:
The wage and benefits for this position will be as established by the Mining Agreement between Westmoreland Rosebud Mining LLC and the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local Union No. 400 AFL-CIO.
