Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and energetic Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team, preferably with a Class A CDL . In this vital role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty equipment, including trucks and trailers. Your expertise will ensure that all vehicles and machinery operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse equipment types and cutting-edge repair techniques in a fast-paced environment dedicated to excellence. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspensions, brakes, and other critical systems across heavy equipment and vehicles. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, alignment, and air brake inspections to prevent breakdowns. Fabricate and modify parts using welding, soldering, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to meet specific repair needs. Use schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical systems, HVAC units, and complex machinery like excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tractor-trailers. Assist with assembly of new equipment or components following manufacturer specifications. Maintain detailed service records of repairs performed and parts used for accountability and future reference. Qualifications Proven experience as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic or Service Technician with dealership experience preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, brakes (including air brake systems), HVAC systems, shocks & struts. Proficiency in automotive diagnostics using schematics and electrical testing tools. Hands-on experience with heavy equipment operation such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers, and other industrial machinery. Skilled in welding, fabrication, soldering, tire service and alignment procedures. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment effectively and safely. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly. Physical capability for heavy lifting and working in various environmental conditions.
