We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and skilled Diesel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, with a focus on heavy equipment. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet, and will play a critical role in the maintenance and repair of our vehicles. As a proud veteran-owned company, we encourage veterans with military experience in operating military-grade heavy duty equipment to apply.
  • Pay will be determined based on applicant's experience
Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and heavy equipment, including Caterpillar, Cummins, Detroit, Paccar, and others
  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles and equipment to identify potential issues and implement preventative maintenance strategies
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical problems using mechanical knowledge and diagnostic tools
  • Assemble and disassemble components of diesel engines and heavy equipment as needed
  • Repair and maintain air brake systems
  • Collaborate with other team members to complete tasks and meet deadlines
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and manufacturer guidelines
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and situations
  • Applicant must have their own tools
Skills:
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and experience with diesel engines
  • Ability to diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues
  • Experience with heavy equipment operation and maintenance
  • Experience with fleet vehicles maintenance and repair
  • Ability to assemble and disassemble components of diesel engines and heavy equipment
  • Experience with air brake systems
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
