Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Roll Off Trucks, Hooklift trucks, Trailers, Excavators a wide range of heavy-duty diesel-powered equipment, including construction machinery, and commercial vehicles. Your expertise will ensure that all equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably to support our operational needs. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse machinery and utilize your technical skills in a fast-paced environment dedicated to excellence in equipment maintenance. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, transmissions, and air brake systems using OEM schematics and electrical diagnostics tools. Conduct repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and construction machinery to ensure optimal performance. Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to meet specific repair requirements. Troubleshoot equipment issues including suspension systems, steering alignment, tire service, HVAC systems, and electrical wiring. Assist in the assembly and disassembly of machinery during repairs or upgrades while adhering to safety standards. Support heavy lifting operations and perform tire replacements or repairs safely using appropriate heavy equipment operation skills. Qualifications Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, brakes (including air brake systems), and electrical diagnostics. Hands-on experience with construction equipment servicing such as excavators. Ability to read schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting complex electrical and mechanical issues. Skilled in welding, soldering, fabrication techniques, and the use of hand tools and power tools for equipment repair. Familiarity with OEM parts specifications and heavy equipment operation is highly desirable. Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on safety standards and quality workmanship. Pay:
$22.50 - $40.00 per hour
