Graham, NC More Than a Typical Diesel Shop Revolution Gunite is looking for a skilled, dependable Diesel & Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our growing equipment and maintenance operation. For more than 20 years, we have specialized in concrete construction and shotcrete. Our operation includes Class 8 trucks, specialized concrete trucks, compressors, pumps, heavy equipment, trailers, plant and material-handling equipment, and company vehicles. We're also growing our concrete production and delivery operations, which means our fleet and shop needs are growing with us. We're open to different levels of experience. You may be an experienced mechanic who wants to concentrate on doing excellent hands-on work, or you may have the experience and organizational ability to grow into a lead role as our operation expands. What matters most is that you know equipment, can diagnose problems, take pride in keeping machinery ready to work, and don't need someone standing over you to make sure the job gets done. What You'll Work On This is not a repetitive fleet-maintenance position where you'll service the same truck every day.

Our equipment includes:

Class 8 diesel trucks Volumetric concrete trucks and mixers Concrete and shotcrete equipment Air compressors Hydraulic and PTO-driven equipment Loaders and other heavy equipment Conveyors and material-handling systems Trailers Pickups and service vehicles Plant and production equipment Experience with all of this equipment is not required . If you're a strong diesel or heavy-equipment mechanic, we'll help you learn the specialized equipment in our operation. What You'll Do Diagnose and repair diesel, hydraulic, electrical, brake, drivetrain, and mechanical systems Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled inspections Identify developing problems before they become breakdowns Repair and maintain trucks, heavy equipment, trailers, compressors, pumps, mixers, and production equipment Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, PTO, conveyor, water, air, and mechanical systems Respond to occasional field or roadside equipment problems Help keep equipment safe, reliable, and ready for production Document repairs, inspections, and maintenance performed Communicate equipment condition, needed repairs, and parts requirements Maintain an organized and safe shop and work area Assist with welding and fabrication when your experience allows Work with drivers and equipment operators to identify problems and improve equipment care For candidates with greater experience, the position can also include responsibility for preventive-maintenance planning, repair prioritization, vendor coordination, parts management, and helping lead the day-to-day technical operation of the shop. The Person We're Looking For We are less concerned with whether you've worked on our exact equipment than whether you are a good mechanic who understands machinery and takes ownership of your work. You may be a good fit if you: Have diesel, heavy-truck, heavy-equipment, agricultural, industrial, or construction-equipment repair experience Are comfortable diagnosing problems instead of simply replacing parts Understand hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems Notice problems before equipment fails Take preventive maintenance seriously Can work independently and manage your time Take pride in making a repair correctly Keep your work area and tools organized Communicate clearly when equipment needs additional work Enjoy working on different types of machinery and figuring out how things work

Qualifications Preferred:

3+ years of diesel, truck, heavy-equipment, agricultural, or industrial mechanic experience Experience with Class 8 trucks or heavy construction equipment Strong diagnostic ability Hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting experience Welding or fabrication ability CDL Class A or B Experience with concrete, aggregate, plant, or material-handling equipment Not required: Previous concrete-industry experience Previous volumetric mixer experience Batch-plant experience Experience with every type of equipment we own Previous management experience

Required:
