Duties & Responsibilities Inspect fleet trucks and trailers, perform diagnostic testing, and identify worn, damaged, or malfunctioning parts and systems. Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel powertrains, transmissions, electrical, fuel, emissions, air brake, steering, hydraulic, and air conditioning systems. Remove, repair, adjust, overhaul, assemble, and replace major assemblies, components, and related parts. Complete mechanical adjustments and alignments involving bearings, gears, clutches, valve mechanisms, oil systems, governors, and related components. Use diagnostic computers, pneumatic tools, welding equipment, hoists, jacks, and other shop equipment while following safe work practices. Maintain accurate service and repair records for fleet trucks and trailers.
Requirements Required:
High school diploma or equivalent. 3+ years of diesel mechanic experience with hands-on truck and trailer maintenance and repair. Strong working knowledge of diesel powertrain, transmission, electrical, air brake, steering, hydraulic, fuel, emissions, and related systems. Ability to use diagnostic computers, diagnostic tools, and shop equipment to troubleshoot and complete repairs. Must provide personal tools. Able to safely handle heavy parts and perform repairs in cramped or awkward work areas. Strong customer service skills and ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check. #FJ1
Compensation:
$20.00 - $32.00/hour starting pay based on experience, certifications, and training Annual performance bonus Company-provided uniforms and ongoing training
