Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and be proficient in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and related systems. This role is essential for ensuring the reliability and performance of our fleet, providing top-notch service to our customers, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including but not limited to brake repair, shocks, and struts. Utilize automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues accurately and efficiently. Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to ensure compliance with safety standards. Fabricate parts as necessary to complete repairs or modifications. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding vehicle issues and repairs needed. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems. Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in diesel mechanics. Qualifications Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance. Familiarity with Caterpillar systems is a plus. Strong skills in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment effectively. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Previous experience in vehicle maintenance or a related field is preferred. Strong communication skills for effective customer interaction.
