Job Summary Dagger Machinery is looking for a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Fargo, ND. In this role, you will do more than just routine maintenance. You will handle everything from basic checkups to complex fixes. If you love variety, working with your hands, and taking pride in a job well done, this position is perfect for you! Job Duties Can perform repair and maintenance jobs with minimal supervision. Excellent diagnostic skills with fuel systems, air conditioning, transmissions, hydraulics, engines, and electrical. Ability to read and follow repair manuals and schematics. Can take apart engines, check the internal parts, identify and replace broken components. Embrace a detail-oriented mindset to keep repair jobs clean and correct. Use computer tools to figure out complex mechanical and electrical problems. Ability to effectively plan and communicate needs to keep projects on schedule. Flexibility to perform other tasks as needed. Body Work, Touchups, and Painting Fix minor dents, scratches, and body damage on machines. Do touchup paint work to stop rust from forming. Sand down and prep vehicle surfaces before applying new paint. Maintaining a Safe and Clean Work Space Keep your personal area tidy to show pride in your work environment. Every project should be completed in "sale ready" condition with the cab cleaned and exterior washed. Physical Requirements Routinely lift up to 75 lbs. Sit, stand, and walk on a hard surface for the majority of your shift. Frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach. Willing to work outdoors in all seasons. Job Requirements 4+ years of working experience on diesel trucks and heavy equipment. A degree in diesel technology is a huge plus! You must own your own basic set of mechanic tools and toolbox. A valid driver's license is required. A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is preferred. Must be personable and able to work well with team members and customers.
