Job Description

Purpose of the
Position:
The Diesel Technician will collaborate with other repair team members to ensure vehicles and equipment are safely and efficiently operating to the drivers needs. The Diesel Technician will also provide field support and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
Essential Functions:
Inspect vehicles and machinery for damage and troubleshoot technical issues. They may use diagnostic tests to identify problemsRepair or replace malfunctioning parts and equipment. May also fabricate parts or equipment as needed.

Perform routine maintenance, such as changing oil, checking fluid levels, and rotating tires. They may also create preventative maintenance schedules.

Maintain records of parts and serviced vehicles and equipment.

Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations on all maintenance projects.

Use a variety of tools, including shop tools, welding equipment, and hydraulic machineryCommitment to all aspects of MSHA/OSHA and Environmental standards.

This position can be expected to spend time in the field as needed.

Make recommendations to the Maintenance Supervisor for parts and supplies needed on hand. Maintain safe, neat and orderly work areas in and around the facility.

Perform work in accordance with all applicable State and Federal mining laws. Follow safe working practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook and as described during training. Commit to and support Companys Quality Policy and Objectives. Other duties as assigned. Job Specification (Preferred knowledge, skills and abilities):

Technical certifications preferred.

Experience with a CMMS system is preferred.5+ years of experience in maintenance, preferably in a plant or industrial setting.

Strong understanding of plant equipment and maintenance practices.

Strong communication and leadership skills.

Familiarity with safety and regulatory requirements in an industrial setting.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including exposure to high noise levels, heavy machinery, and outdoor conditions.

Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods of time.

Supervisor ResponsibilityThis position has no supervisory responsibility.
Minimum QualificationsPhysical:
Ability to obtain a PCP Level 3 according to the Department of Labor Standards.
Other:
Must be able to communicate both orally and written in the English language.
