Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team on the second shift. In this vital role, you will perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on a variety of heavy-duty diesel engines and equipment. Your expertise will keep our fleet operating at peak performance, supporting our commitment to excellence in mobile maintenance services. to learn more about the company and see for yourself what our new customized mobile trucks are all about. Duties Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, and air brake systems using schematics and mechanical knowledge. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, wheel alignments, and shocks & struts replacement. Fabricate parts or components as needed using power tools, welding equipment, and hand tools to ensure proper fit and function. Operate heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tractor-trailers safely and efficiently during repairs or testing. Use automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues with electrical systems, HVAC units, or other industrial equipment. Read and interpret schematics for complex machinery repairs; follow safety protocols during all service procedures. Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports for all work performed to ensure compliance and traceability. Qualifications Proven experience as a diesel mechanic or heavy equipment technician with fleet experience preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a diesel mechanic and heavy equipment technician required. Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy machinery including farm machinery, industrial equipment, and automotive repair. Skilled in fabrication, welding, soldering, and the use of power tools for custom repairs or modifications. Ability to read schematics accurately and troubleshoot electrical or mechanical issues effectively. Experience with vehicle maintenance procedures such as oil changes, greasing, filter replacements and other diesel specific requirements . Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients about repairs and maintenance needs.
