Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our team, providing expert maintenance and repair services for a wide range of heavy-duty equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, experience with diesel engines, and proficiency in diagnosing and repairing complex systems. This role offers an opportunity to work with diverse machinery including farm equipment, industrial machinery, and vehicle fleets, ensuring optimal performance and safety across operations. We work on Everything here at Allied Diesel Service, CAT, Cummins, Mack, Volvo, International, Detroit. We also work on Machinery like Old Farm equipment from time to time. If it has a Engine we will work on it. Duties Perform diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, and air brake systems, clutch systems. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil and fuel filter change etc. Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical systems, A/C Compressors, and other complex components. Fabricate parts or modifications as needed using welding, hand tools, power tools, and soldering techniques. Operate heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tractor-trailers for repair or testing purposes. Repair farm machinery, industrial equipment, and other heavy-duty vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with industry standards. Assist in assembly or disassembly of mechanical components during repairs or upgrades. Maintain detailed service records and ensure all work adheres to safety protocols. Experience Proven experience as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic. Strong background in automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, and heavy equipment operation. Familiarity with machinery, power tools, welding techniques, and schematics reading. Experience working with farm machinery, industrial equipment, tractor-trailers, or similar heavy-duty vehicles. Knowledge of electrical systems related to automotive repair and service technician practices. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship. Prior experience with tire service, alignment procedures, hydraulics repair, HVAC systems related to vehicles or equipment is advantageous. This position requires a dedicated professional capable of handling complex repairs in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of safety and customer service excellence.
