Diesel Mechanic Foreman

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Diesel Mechanic Foreman to lead our heavy equipment maintenance team. In this vital role, you will oversee the repair, diagnostics, and maintenance of a diverse fleet of diesel-powered machinery, including industrial equipment, farm machinery, and heavy-duty vehicles. Your leadership will ensure that all equipment operates efficiently, safely, and reliably, supporting our operational excellence. Duties Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance and repair activities for diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, brakes, and other mechanical components. Diagnose complex mechanical issues using schematics, automotive diagnostics tools, and technical manuals. Lead troubleshooting efforts on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and other industrial machinery. Oversee fabrication tasks including welding, soldering, and assembly of parts or custom modifications as needed. Ensure adherence to safety protocols during all maintenance procedures and promote a culture of safety among team members. Manage inventory of parts, hand tools, power tools, and supplies necessary for repairs and maintenance. Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair status clearly and ensuring timely completion of work orders. Requirements Proven mechanic experience with dealership background preferred; strong knowledge of diesel engine repair and automotive diagnostics is essential. Demonstrated leadership skills with previous supervisory or foreman roles in a maintenance environment. Extensive hands-on experience with heavy equipment operation including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery. Proficiency in reading schematics, electrical systems, hydraulics, HVAC systems, and transmission repairs. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance machinery safely and effectively. Ability to lift heavy components regularly and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the workday. Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by problem-solving skills and attention to detail. $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
