SUMMARY Atlas is looking for motivated Diesel Mechanic Technicians. This position requires the ability to diagnose, repair, and maintain a fleet of diesel trucks and equipment. Candidates will take initiative to solve problems and make accurate decisions about maintenance and repair work performed. This position is open for all experience and skill levels.

Responsibilities / Duties

Determine vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests to verify worn and damaged parts Keeping equipment available for use by completing preventive maintenance and repairs Documenting repairs and maintenance performed Perform maintenance tasks based upon driver pre trip and post trip inspections in a timely manner as directed by shop foreman. Perform all job duties in accordance with company safety policies and regulations. Maintain parts inventory as directed from shop foreman. Keep shop area clean and organized. Other tasks and duties assigned by management Qualifications Read and write work orders and repair orders Basic knowledge of hydraulics Knowledge of electrical and wiring systems Must be able to meet physical requirements of the position (lifting up to 50lbs, bending, climbing, and standing for duration of shift.) Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test Willing to work flexible shifts and overtime Must have acceptable Motor Vehicle Record, valid driver's license Must be able to work independently, be able to follow instructions and work safely.
