Overview Join our dynamic team as a Diesel Mechanic and become a vital part of maintaining and repairing a wide range of heavy-duty construction, industrial, and farm machinery. In this energetic role, you will leverage your mechanical expertise to diagnose, troubleshoot, and service diesel engines and heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brakes, electrical systems, and other heavy equipment components using schematics and diagnostic tools. Conduct repairs and maintenance on a variety of machinery including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, trailers, and construction equipment. Fabricate parts or modify existing components using welding, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to meet specific operational needs. Troubleshoot equipment issues such as suspension problems, alignment concerns, HVAC systems, electrical faults, and hydraulic leaks to restore optimal functionality. Service and repair farm machinery and industrial equipment ensuring compliance with OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) standards. Perform tire services, brake repairs, wheel alignments, and suspension work to uphold safety standards across all machinery. Maintain detailed service records, complete shift reports, and document all repairs accurately for accountability and future reference. Experience Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or Heavy Equipment Technician with dealership experience preferred. Strong knowledge of construction machinery maintenance, automotive diagnostics, electrical diagnostics, and equipment troubleshooting. Hands-on experience with heavy equipment operation such as excavators or cranes is highly desirable. Skilled in reading schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals to accurately diagnose issues. Proficiency in welding (including soldering), fabrication techniques, and the use of hand tools and power tools required for repair work. Familiarity with HVAC systems on heavy machinery and electrical systems diagnostics is a plus. Ability to lift heavy objects safely during tire service or equipment repairs while adhering to safety protocols.
