Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Diesel Mechanic Service Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel equipment, including trucks, construction machinery, and industrial vehicles. Your expertise will ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely, supporting our commitment to excellence in service and customer satisfaction. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, hydraulics, and electrical systems using OEM specifications and schematics. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, air brake adjustments, alignments, and fluid replacements to ensure optimal vehicle performance. Fabricate and modify parts or components using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering techniques to meet specific repair needs. Operate heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tractor-trailers safely and efficiently during service procedures. Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex issues on farm machinery, industrial equipment, or heavy-duty vehicles. Assist with assembly or disassembly of equipment components during repairs or upgrades while adhering to safety standards. Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair findings clearly and offering maintenance advice to clients. Qualifications Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in diesel engine repair and vehicle maintenance. Dealership experience is highly preferred; familiarity with OEM parts and systems is a plus. Skilled in fabrication, welding, soldering, and working with hand tools or power tools for custom repairs. Knowledge of heavy equipment operation including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other industrial machinery. Ability to read schematics accurately and utilize automotive diagnostics tools effectively. Mechanical knowledge spanning transmissions, air brakes, hydraulics, suspension systems, HVAC systems, and electrical components. Strong problem-solving skills combined with excellent attention to detail in troubleshooting complex issues. Physically capable of heavy lifting and performing manual tasks in various environmental conditions.
