Job Description
Elko Sanitation , a trusted Waste Connections company, is looking for a skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic to keep our fleet running strong. If you're a hands-on problem-solver who takes pride in quality work and wants a stable, long-term opportunity. .
Schedule:
Mon-Friday (Occasional Sat.) 8hr shifts scheduled between 7:00am-7:00pm. (OT daily) .COMPETITIVE COMPENSATION
Starting Pay:

Performs repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services. Utilizes vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs. Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment . Completes required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times. Reviews, completes or assigns repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports. Performs maintenance related work as required. Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards. Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Ability to effectively communicate needed repairs or tasks. .REQUIREMENTS
Valid Driver's License with a Clean Driving Record (Required) Class A or B CDL (Preferred, but not Required.) 2+ years of diesel repair experience (fleet, trucking, heavy equipment , etc.) or completion of a diesel tech program Ability to read and interpret service manuals in English Provide personal tools. Welding or fabrication experience is a big plus! .CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
