Diesel Technician | $32.04 per hour If you enjoy being hands-on, troubleshooting problems, making repairs, and getting equipment safely back on the road, this is the role for you. You'll maintain and repair diesel trucks, tractors, trailers, refrigeration units, lift gates, brakes, powertrains, suspension systems, and electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. You'll be counted on to diagnose problems correctly, perform preventive maintenance, and keep equipment safe and ready when operations need it. Lead Diesel Technician | $40.00 per hour If you're already the technician people come to when the problem gets complicated, this is an opportunity to take the next step. You'll still be hands-on with the equipment, but you'll also serve as a technical resource for the garage team. You'll help technicians troubleshoot difficult problems, take the lead on more complex repairs, coordinate maintenance priorities with Distribution leadership, and help set the standard for safety and quality throughout the shop. Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair diesel trucks and tractors Diagnose and repair refrigeration units and trailers Perform 90-day A & B preventive maintenance according to DOT guidelines Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic problems Service and repair brakes, powertrains, and suspension components Repair electric and hydraulic lift gates and cold-box assemblies Use computer-aided diagnostics and technical information to troubleshoot equipment Perform major repairs and equipment overhauls as needed Maintain accurate maintenance and repair documentation Work with technicians and Distribution leadership to prioritize repairs Stepping Into the Lead Role? The Lead Diesel Technician will take on additional responsibility, including: Serve as the lead technical contact for truck and tractor problems Take the lead on difficult troubleshooting and complex repairs Guide mechanics through electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical problems Oversee preventive maintenance and major repairs Work with Distribution leadership to schedule and prioritize fleet maintenance Help identify training needs and develop other technicians Make sure garage team members are following safety standards Review repair documentation for accuracy and completion Communicate equipment status and repair needs across departments Set expectations for quality, safety, organization, and shop cleanliness Look for ways to improve maintenance processes and fleet reliability What We're Looking For Diesel Technician High school diploma or GED Hands-on diesel truck, tractor, trailer, or heavy-equipment repair experience Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability Experience diagnosing and repairing multiple vehicle systems Ability to work independently and manage multiple repairs Strong safety awareness Class A Driver's License Refrigeration Unit Level Class Completion Ability to work 2nd shift with possible rotating nights and weekends Lead Diesel Technician High school diploma or GED Strong hands-on diesel truck, tractor, trailer, or heavy-equipment repair experience Advanced mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability Experience diagnosing complex equipment problems Strong knowledge of brakes, powertrains, suspension, electrical, and pneumatic systems Ability to lead, guide, and support other technicians Comfortable taking ownership of difficult problems and repair priorities Strong communication and organization skills Class A Driver's License Refrigeration Unit Level Class Completion ASE Medium-Heavy Master Technician certification Ability to work possible rotating night and weekend shifts Preferred Experience
