Learn and partner with the Maintenance Supervisor to maintain accurate maintenance records Other general maintenance duties as required Collaborate with Team Members outside of the department to ensure the overall success of the operation What you'll need to be successful Two to three years of Semi-Truck Fleet Mechanic experience, and experience with a variety of trucks a plus Confidence in repairing suspensions, rear ends, transmissions, air brake systems, minor engine work (injectors, turbos, etc.) and more An expert in identifying and diagnosing needed repairs by computer-based systems, being able to visually recognize problems a big plus Class A CDL a plus, but not required The ability to weld aluminum is a plus For safety, it is essential that the candidate possesses English communication skills. The job demands the ability to understand and interpret both written and verbal operational and safety guidelines, as well as related regulations, policies, and memos Clear and effective communication with colleagues and superiors is a key requirement for this role Ensure compliance to strict OSHA and State regulations Physical Requirements of this role Physically able to handle heavy parts and pieces of equipment Safely Climb on and off the equipment Physically demanding work will be a daily function of this position Climb, crawl, and position their body in such a way that they can perform their required duties This person should be able to frequently lift 80 lbs #IND1Benefits
