DIESEL FLEET MECHANICS

Job Description

Are you a skilled technician seeking consistent hours, extra earning potential through overtime, and a dynamic work environment where you can service a diverse fleet rather than performing repetitive tasks? A prominent regional beverage distribution facility is currently seeking dedicated Diesel Mechanics to become part of its internal transportation maintenance department. Your Responsibilities Identify, fix, and service a fleet consisting of around 50 vehicles. Execute preventive maintenance, as well as repairs on engines, transmissions, and braking systems to ensure fleet reliability. Utilize advanced diagnostic tools to pinpoint and resolve mechanical malfunctions. Required Qualifications Experience working with diesel engines, trucks, automotive systems, heavy machinery, or agricultural equipment. Possession of your own professional toolset. A current New York State driver's license and the capability to drive company equipment (a CDL A is not mandatory). Successful completion of a drug screening, which includes testing for THC. Shift:
Roughly 2:00 PM to 10:00/10:30 PM (includes a $3 per hour shift premium). 3rd
Shift:
Roughly 9:30 PM to 6:00 AM (includes a $4 per hour shift premium). Staff members are assured a 40-hour work week, with additional overtime hours provided as necessary. Weekend shifts are generally not expected. Compensation and Benefits Hourly rates ranging from $24 to $30, determined by your level of expertise, plus shift premiums and frequent overtime availability.
