In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel engines and equipment. Your expertise will ensure that our fleet and machinery operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse industrial equipment, heavy trucks, and farm machinery in a fast-paced environment dedicated to excellence in vehicle and equipment maintenance. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, air brakes, and electrical components using schematics and diagnostic tools. Conduct repairs and maintenance on heavy and medium duty trucks, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Fabricate parts or modifications as needed using welding and hand tools to optimize equipment performance. Troubleshoot and repair automotive electrical systems, suspensions, shocks & struts, HVAC systems, and other mechanical systems. Maintain detailed service records of repairs performed; follow manufacturer guidelines for vehicle systems repair and maintenance schedules. Assist with heavy lifting tasks and equipment assembly/disassembly to support ongoing operations. Experience Proven dealership or heavy duty truck repair experience with a strong background in diesel mechanics. Hands-on experience with fabrication, welding, hydraulics, and electrical system diagnostics. Knowledge of Mack and Volvo brands is preferred. Skilled in reading schematics and using power tools for complex repairs. Prior experience working on vehicle maintenance for truck drivers or service technician roles is highly desirable. Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by excellent problem-solving skills; ability to perform heavy lifting safely.
