Job Description
Niagara Scenic Tours, Upstate and Western NY's premier motor coach operator, is looking for a full-time experienced diesel technician to join our team. Our fleet is made up of late model motor coaches with brand new units delivered annually to our three locations. A safety-first company, our fleet is meticulously maintained and serviced. We are offering a $2,000 sign-on bonus to the right candidate. The ideal candidate is hard-working, team focused and has a safety-first attitude. Duties Perform tire service, including installation, rotation, and balancing. Utilize hand tools effectively for repairs and maintenance tasks. Conduct automotive diagnostics to identify mechanical issues accurately. Execute diesel engine repairs with precision and attention to detail. Fabricate components as necessary to meet repair requirements. Repair or replace shocks and struts to enhance vehicle stability. Work on motorcoach machinery, ensuring functionality and safety standards are met. Solder electrical connections as needed for repairs or modifications. Dig into complex mechanical problems, providing thorough solutions. Service air brake systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Experience Candidates should have prior experience in automotive repair or related fields, showcasing proficiency in the following skills: Tire service techniques and practices. Must bring your own tools CDL-B required. Training is available. Comfortable with computer diagnostic software. Some data entry required. Must be able to lift large, heavy objects in excess of 75 pounds repetitively Person should be self-motivated, hardworking Familiarity with hand tools and their applications in repairs. Knowledge of automotive diagnostics processes. Ability to fabricate parts or components as required. Understanding of shocks and struts functionality in vehicles. Experience working with motorcoach/bus machinery is a plus. Proficiency in soldering techniques for electrical repairs. Capability to dig into mechanical issues for effective troubleshooting. Knowledge of air brake systems and their maintenance requirements.
