Job Description
Fast growing School Bus Transportation Company looking for a Junior Tech Safety Associate. Under the direction of the Tech Safety Manager, the Junior Tech will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, non-electrical installations, and updating the various electronics and telematics componentry utilized in our fleet. This includes, but not limited to, DVRs, camera systems, digital mobile radios, and GPS telemetries. This will require the candidate to be very organized and adept at detail-orientated work. No experience required, willing to train the right person.
Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and diagnose on-board vehicle technologies such as DVRs, camera systems, digital mobile radios, and GPS telemetries. Ability to make basic repairs to broken or damaged technology equipment. Examine vehicles to determine the nature and extent of needed repairs. Test operation of parts and/or systems to ensure full functionality via monthly inspections. Maintain accurate inventory of technology equipment and supplies while maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Extract and submit videos for school districts and OCT staff upon request. Perform various duties as requested by manager. Travel to other terminals in Upstate NY (Orange, Dutchess, Ulster and Putnam counties), New Jersey and Long Island (Company vehicle be provided).Skills:
Basic understanding of Microsoft Windows and Android operating systems. Ability to move, operate, and store equipment. Ability to frequently lift and carry vehicle technology components and parts. Must be able to frequently enter and exit vehicles, in addition to some bending, twisting, climbing, squatting, crouching and balancing. Must be comfortable with exposure to various weather conditions and possible irritants such as vehicle insulation, dirt and dust (PPE will be provided).Job Type:
