Diesel Technician Location:

Newburgh, NY Shift:

1st Shift | Monday-Friday (Shop hours 6:00am-5:00pm; most techs start 7:00-7:30am)

Pay:

$31-$36/hour Overview We're hiring strong B-Level and A-Level Diesel Technicians with solid diagnostic capability (laptop diagnostics). You'll work on a fleet primarily consisting of Volvo and Freightliner tractors with Detroit engines , plus some International units.

Common software/tools used:

J-Pro, Detroit, Cummins Insite What You'll Do Diagnose, estimate, and repair tractor and trailer issues following standard operating procedures Complete routine rebuilds/replacements and make best-value, safety-first repair decisions Use ATA systems, published manuals, and online resources for repair procedures Perform preventive maintenance (PM) including lube, filters, inspections, and safety checks Basic electrical repairs (starters, alternators, batteries)

Tires:

tread, inflation, rotation, wear, wheel reconditioning Replace/repair engine components, transmission & clutch (R&R), driveline components Remove and replace steering and chassis components Requirements 3+ years of experience (A-Level requires 3 years minimum) Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record Own necessary basic tools Comfortable with Windows-based computer systems (preferred) Equal Opportunity All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, or veteran status.
