Job Description

A local Fleet is looking for "C" Mechanic/ Fleet Mechanic on 3rd Shift. The ideal candidate will need to have the following skills and qualifications. The candidate must have general knowledge of the operating principles of diesel engines and associated components. Must be mechanically inclined and, with help, be able to make some essential diagnoses and repair all of the components of tractors, trailers, and dollies. Must be proficient in PM services, with an ability to spot and detect pending failures and problems. Must be familiar with 12V electrical systems and be able to perform basic repairs to these systems. Should be computer literate and have some basic welding knowledge and ability. A/C certification and New York State Inspection certification are a plus. Must have their own tools that are adequate for the tasks to be performed. Hours for the role need to be flexible, anywhere from 9 pm•7 am
Starting Wage:
$24•$30, depending on experience + Shift Differential.
Pay:
$24.00•$30.00 per hour
