Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brake systems, suspension components, and electrical systems using schematics and technical manuals. Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, tire service, alignment checks, and equipment inspections to prevent breakdowns and extend machinery lifespan. Fabricate parts or modify existing components using welding and hand tools to meet specific operational needs. Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, forklifts, safely and efficiently during repair or testing procedures. Troubleshoot complex mechanical systems on farm machinery, industrial equipment, heavy trucks, and other heavy-duty vehicles with precision automotive diagnostics. Maintain detailed service records, repair logs, and inspection reports to ensure compliance with safety standards and warranty requirements. Assist in the assembly or disassembly of large machinery components during repairs or upgrades while adhering to safety protocols. Skills Extensive background in heavy truck repair and automotive repair. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, HVAC systems, shocks & struts, brakes, suspension systems, and vehicle electrical systems. Skilled in the use of power tools, hand tools, welding equipment Ability to operate heavy equipment such as excavators, forklifts safely for maintenance tasks. Experience with fabricating parts or modifications using welding techniques; familiarity with industrial equipment repair is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex vehicle systems efficiently. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures for farm machinery, heavy trucks for truck drivers, and industrial equipment operation.
