Diesel Technician Location:
Williamsville, NY Shift:
1st Shift | Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-4:30
PM Pay:
$30.74•35.89/hour + Overtime + Premiums What You'll Do Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy-duty tractors and trailers Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled inspections Complete engine, drivetrain, brake, suspension, and electrical repairs Perform component rebuilds and failure analysis Conduct tune-ups, overhauls, and general mechanical repairs Read technical manuals and repair procedures to complete repairs accurately Enter labor, parts, and repair information into the maintenance system Complete work orders accurately and efficiently Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area Follow all DOT and company safety standards Occasionally travel to nearby shop locations to provide maintenance support Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of diesel or heavy truck repair experience, OR Technical school degree/certification with at least 1 year of heavy-duty truck repair experience Valid driver's license Strong diesel engine diagnostic and troubleshooting skills Experience repairing tractors and trailers Computer skills for diagnostics and repair documentation Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in an active shop environment Must supply basic hand tools Preferred Qualifications CDL (additional hourly premium) ASE Certifications (additional bonus opportunities) State or Federal Inspection Certification OEM training Strong communication and teamwork skills #LP
