We are hiring a Fleet Technician at our Cleveland location. As a Fleet Technician at CBS, you will be responsible for maintaining our fleet of school transportation vehicles. Our maintenance teams work together to maintain a strict preventive maintenance schedule while also dealing with driver-reported vehicle defects, collisions, and road calls. We have learned that the foundation of a successful fleet maintenance program is a cohesive team that communicates clearly with one another. As a member of our team, you will be expected to be organized, timely, respectful, and willing to work through issues as a team. We expect our maintenance team members to be patient and helpful when assisting School Bus Drivers to diagnose and address issues with their vehicles. We utilize many different technologies in our fleet maintenance program and are in the process of implementing a paperless shop system for work order entry. You will be required to be open to learning different systems that we will be implementing to streamline maintenance.
Compensation:
Hourly wage starting at $32/hr+ based on experience Full-Time - Monday through Friday - No Weekends Two weeks of vacation after one year of employment 32 hours of annual paid time off School Employee Retirement System (SERS) pension plan Tool allowance of $600 per year Company provided boots Full Benefits including Health, Dental, and Vision Paid training to obtain your CDL Raises offered for ASE Certifications In addition, all major shop tools are provided, as well as the opportunity to work with our supervisors who will continue to train and grow your knowledge base.
Requirements:
Experience as a Diesel Mechanic/Fleet Tech Willingness to attend company-sponsored training sessions The ability to obtain a Class B CDL w/ School Bus and Passenger endorsements upon being trained within 6 months of the date of hire Approved T8 physical, drug screen, and FBI/BCI background check Adherence to our random drug testing policy

$32.00 - $38.00 per hour
