Job Description

Job Overview Ohio Ready Mix is looking to hire a highly motivated Master Diesel Mechanic. The successful candidate will maintain and repair modern fleet of off-road heavy equipment as well as modern over the road ready mix trucks. Responsibilities and Duties Maintain and repair mixer trucks including the mixer and hydraulic components/systems Troubleshoot, inspect, repair/replace and recognize failure systems on trucks and mixers including electrical, hydraulic components, steering systems, brake systems Maintain current working knowledge of equipment specifications on all equipment serviced Coordinate with supervisor to schedule and perform preventative maintenance and regular service Drive repaired and/or broken mixer trucks/equipment when necessary Travel to disabled equipment to fix, repair or diagnose problem(s) as needed Accurately document inspections, repairs, parts used, and maintenance activities Manage projects and initiatives as assigned. Qualifications and Skills 5+ years experience as a heavy truck diesel technician Ready Mix Truck experience preferred Ability to deliver quality work on tight deadlines, with strong organization and priority setting skills. Can bus electronic knowledge is a plus Self-motivated and possesses the ability to complete tasks on-time and with little supervision Lift or maneuver up to 100 pounds occasionally Ability to walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl Strong work ethic Safety 1st mindset Education / Training Requirements High School Diploma/GED Technical degree (s) and/or certifications in relevant mechanics Combination of training and work experience considered. Work Schedule Monday-Friday 7:00 am-5:00 pm
