Job Description

MPS Group, Inc., is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to join our team at the Cleveland Cliffs Facility located in Middletown, OH. This individual is responsible for maintaining, inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of fleet vehicles and equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation at the Middletown AK Steel / Cleveland-Cliffs facility.

Monday- Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain and service fleet vehicles and equipment. Troubleshoot and repair wash trucks, vacuum trucks, vans, trucks, water blasters, Lulls, forklifts, scissor lifts, and related equipment. Perform DOT annual inspections. Complete preventative maintenance, including oil changes, transmission services, tire replacements, and routine inspections. Respond to equipment breakdowns and emergency repair needs. Maintain accurate records within the fleet management system. Perform welding as needed. Utilize diagnostic scanners and tools for troubleshooting. Minimal travel required. Flexibility to support after-hours call-outs and emergency situations.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Minimum of two years of diesel mechanic experience. High School Diploma or GED. Extensive knowledge of diesel engines and mechanical systems. Valid OSHA 10-Hour Certification. Experience performing DOT inspections and preventative maintenance. Familiarity with diagnostic scanners and electronic troubleshooting tools. Flexible schedule, including overtime, callouts, and emergency repairs. Strong attendance, punctuality, and reliability. #INDSPN
