Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty vehicles and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will help keep our fleet operating smoothly and efficiently, supporting various industrial, agricultural, and transportation operations. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and electrical components using schematics and diagnostic tools. Conduct repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and other farm machinery. Troubleshoot and repair vehicle systems including air brakes, suspension, shocks & struts, HVAC systems, and wheel alignments. Fabricate parts or modify equipment using welding, cutting, and hand tools to meet specific operational needs. Carry out routine inspections and preventative maintenance on industrial equipment to minimize downtime. Assist with heavy lifting tasks and use power tools safely to disassemble or assemble machinery components. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating repair findings clearly and offering solutions for vehicle or equipment issues. Skills Proven dealership experience or extensive background in heavy truck repair and automotive diagnostics. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, and vehicle electrical systems. Skilled in reading schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams for accurate troubleshooting. Proficient with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and equipment maintenance procedures. Experience working with heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers, and farm machinery. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during repairs or inspections. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to vehicle maintenance and repair tasks.
