Position Summary We are looking for an experienced Bus Body & Structural Repair Technician to repair and restore heavy-gauge steel bus cab structures and components. This is a hands-on position for someone with experience in auto body repair, heavy-duty vehicle repair, bus/coach repair, metal fabrication, or structural welding. What You'll Do Inspect and repair damaged bus cab structures and components Straighten and repair heavy-gauge steel Remove dents and correct damaged or distorted metal Fabricate, fit, and assemble metal components Measure, cut, bend, form, and prepare metal for repair MIG, TIG, Stick, and/or Flux Core weld Read blueprints, drawings, and work instructions Use equipment such as shears, press brakes, rollers, band saws, drills, and presses Grind, sand, and finish repaired areas Reassemble components after repairs Inspect finished work for quality and accuracy Maintain a safe and organized work area What We're Looking For 3-4 years of experience in auto body, collision repair, heavy-duty vehicle repair, bus/coach repair, metal fabrication, or structural repair Strong metalworking and mechanical skills Welding experience; certification is a plus Ability to read basic blueprints and measurements Ability to work independently with limited supervision Good problem-solving skills Ability to safely handle heavy materials and equipment Ability to work on a manufacturing plant floor and wear required PPE Auto Body/Collision Repair certification such as ASE or I-CAR is a plus. Work Environment 100% plant-floor position PPE required Frequent standing, bending, lifting, and working around equipment Must maintain strong attention to safety and surroundings Why This Position Is Different This is not traditional automotive body repair . You will be working with heavy-gauge steel bus cabs , using body repair, metal fabrication, structural repair, and welding skills to restore damaged components. #
