Diesel Mechanic / Mobile Roadside Technician King's Towing & Repair - Hermiston, OR pay: $800-$2,000 per week | Paid Weekly King's Towing & Repair is looking for a dependable, experienced Diesel Mechanic / Mobile Roadside Technician to join our growing team in Hermiston, Oregon. We specialize in 24/7 mobile truck and trailer repair, roadside assistance, commercial towing, and recovery throughout Eastern Oregon and Eastern Washington. We work with major trucking companies, commercial fleets, owner-operators, and local businesses to keep their equipment moving. This is a great position for a mechanic who enjoys working independently, solving different problems every day, and wants the opportunity to make more money by taking more work. This is not a traditional position where you sit in a shop waiting for work to come in. Our technicians respond to breakdowns in the field as well as perform repairs at our shop. What You'll Be Doing Our technicians work on semi-trucks, trailers, box trucks, and other commercial vehicles. Jobs can range from a simple battery or tire replacement to diagnosing a truck that won't start or completing more involved mechanical repairs.

Typical work includes:

• Mobile roadside diagnostics and repairs
• No-start and electrical diagnostics
• Batteries, starters, and alternators
• Brake and air-system repairs
• Air lines and air leaks
• Truck and trailer electrical and lighting repairs
• Cooling systems, radiators, hoses, belts, and water pumps
• Fuel-system diagnostics and repairs
• DEF, DPF, and aftertreatment diagnostics
• Computer diagnostics and forced regens
• Truck and trailer tire service
• Suspension and trailer repairs
• Preventative maintenance and DOT-related repairs
• Welding and fabrication when needed
• General diesel engine and commercial vehicle repairs What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who knows how to diagnose a problem, find the cause, and complete the repair correctly.

We don't expect every mechanic to know everything, but you need a solid mechanical background and the ability to troubleshoot problems without needing someone standing over you. Previous experience with diesel trucks, semi-trucks, trailers, heavy equipment, or commercial vehicles is strongly preferred. Experience working with Freightliner, Kenworth, Peterbilt, International, Volvo, Mack, Cummins, Detroit, and PACCAR equipment is a plus. You should be comfortable working independently, communicating with dispatch, documenting the work you perform, and treating customers professionally. A valid driver's license is required. CDL experience, welding experience, tire experience, computer diagnostics experience, and bilingual English/Spanish are all valuable but are not required for every applicant. If you are someone who wants more work, answers the phone, and is willing to take additional service calls, there is an opportunity to earn toward the higher end of the weekly range. If you choose to take fewer calls, your earnings will naturally be lower. We want applicants to understand this upfront: this is a workload-based position. Your paycheck is directly affected by how much work you are available and willing to complete. Schedule King's provides 24/7 roadside service, so this is not a traditional Monday-through-Friday, 8-to-5 mechanic position. Service calls can come in during the day, at night, and on weekends. Workload varies depending on breakdown volume. We're looking for someone who understands the nature of the trucking industry: trucks don't only break down during normal business hours. What We Provide You'll be joining an established towing and truck repair operation with the equipment and customer base needed to keep technicians working. King's operates multiple mobile service trucks along with heavy-duty wreckers and rollbacks. Our technicians work with commercial fleets, trucking companies, roadside networks, and independent drivers throughout the region. We handle the dispatching and customer side of the operation so our technicians can focus on diagnosing the problem, completing the repair, and getting the customer back on the road.
