This role supports safe and efficient fleet operations through high-quality maintenance and adherence to established shop procedures. The ideal candidate is hands-on, dependable, and works effectively within a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostics and safety inspections following established procedures Repair or replace major components, including engine, transmission, brakes, and electrical systems Conduct test drives and make system adjustments based on performance standards Complete accurate and timely service documentation in accordance with company requirements Support overall shop operations while following safety policies and guidelines Collaborate with team members to maintain equipment reliability and uptime
Qualifications:
Experience using shop tools and diagnostic equipment Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work Ability to follow established maintenance and safety procedures Able to work effectively in a team-based shop environment
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED Valid driver's license Must have a basic set of personal tools; additional shop equipment is provided Able to work in a shop environment that may not be climate-controlled Preferred Experience (a plus, not required): 5+ years of diesel/tractor-trailer experience CDL Class B license Tank trailer and HM183 knowledge DOT Brake Certification Vocational/Technical training About Us Penn Tank Lines is a privately held transportation company with over 50 years of experience moving fuel and bulk products safely and efficiently.
