Harrisburg, PA Area $32.00-$45.00/Hour + Overtime $2,000 Retention Bonus After 6 Months Company-Provided Ford F-550 Service Truck with Crane We're looking for an experienced Mobile Field Service Technician to maintain and repair diesel trucks, bucket trucks, boom trucks, and other utility equipment throughout the Binghamton region. This position is ideal for a technician with a heavy truck or diesel background who has also worked on bucket trucks, boom trucks, aerial equipment, or utility vehicles.
Please note:
Candidates with only automotive or diesel engine experience and no exposure to bucket trucks or boom truck maintenance are not the right fit for this position. What You'll Do Using a company-provided Ford F-550 service truck equipped with a crane , you'll travel to customer locations to perform maintenance and repairs on commercial fleet vehicles and utility equipment.
Responsibilities include:
Perform preventative maintenance on diesel trucks and utility fleet equipment Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, PTOs, and driveline components Service bucket trucks, boom trucks, digger derricks, utility bodies, and related equipment Perform DOT inspections and annual safety inspections Complete ANSI boom inspections and dielectric testing (training available) Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in the field Complete service reports and inspection documentation Provide professional customer service while working independently What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications 3+ years of experience repairing medium- or heavy-duty diesel trucks Previous experience servicing bucket trucks, boom trucks, aerial equipment, or utility vehicles (this does not need to be your primary experience, but you should be familiar with this equipment) Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical diagnostic skills Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to work independently Willingness to travel overnight 2-4 nights per month Preferred Qualifications Experience performing ANSI boom inspections Dielectric testing experience DOT inspection certification Previous mobile field service experience CDL is a plus Compensation & Benefits $32.00-$45.00 per hour based on experience $2,000 retention bonus after six months Company-provided Ford F-550 service truck with crane Fuel card and company credit card Paid hotels for overnight travel Blue Cross Blue Shield Medical, Dental & Vision 401(k) with company match Paid Holidays & PTO Ongoing manufacturer training and certification opportunities Plenty of overtime available Schedule Full-time Start times between 7:00 AM and 2:00 PM depending on customer schedules Regular overtime available (up to 60 hours per week) Overnight travel typically 2-4 nights per month Apply Today If you're an experienced diesel or heavy truck technician with hands-on experience working on bucket trucks, boom trucks, or other utility equipment , we'd love to talk with you.
