Job Overview:

Diesel Technician inspects, diagnoses, repairs, and maintains company vehicles, diesel-powered vehicles, and equipment, performing tasks like running diagnostic tests, replacing parts, and conducting routine maintenance. Responsibilities /

Duties:

Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in diesel engines and related systems. Repair or replace faulty components, including engines, transmissions, steering, brakes, and other systems. Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, fluid checks, and tire rotations. Conduct preventative maintenance on auto/diesel vehicles and equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Inspect vehicles for potential problems and recommend necessary repairs. Run diagnostic tests using specialized equipment and interpret results accurately. Test-drive vehicles to assess performance and ensure repairs are effective. Maintain detailed records of repairs and maintenance performed on each vehicle. Order and inventory parts and supplies. Communicate with the Shop Foreman and management about vehicle issues and repair recommendations. Maintain a clean and organized workspace. May perform welding or fabrication tasks as needed. Assemble mechanical components according to specifications. Design a plan of action for all maintenance tasks and upgrades. Perform state inspections (if licensed-certified). Conducting field visits in case of an emergency or sudden breakdown. Perform snow and ice removal when needed. Compensation:

Group Medical, Vision, and Dental Health Insurance offered after 60 days. Company Pays ½ of Employee Medical Health Insurance cost and up to $1,000 per month for employee and dependent coverage. Vacation Days:

Six (6) months of employment attains (1) week or (5) days of vacation pay per calendar year. An additional one (1) week or (5) days of vacation pay is attained after three (3) years of employment. Accrued vacation rules apply to newly attained and annual vacation time.

Paid Holidays:
