In this vital role, you will lead a team of technicians in maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting heavy-duty trucks and industrial equipment. Your expertise will ensure our fleet operates at peak performance, supporting our mission to deliver excellence on every mile. Duties Lead and mentor a team of diesel mechanics, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement Diagnose and repair complex mechanical systems on heavy trucks, including engines, transmissions, hydraulics, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan Utilize schematics and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot issues efficiently and accurately Oversee equipment repairs such as welding, fabrication, tire service, and air brake systems Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies Maintain detailed service records and documentation for all repairs performed Requirements Extensive dealership experience with heavy trucks and industrial equipment Proven mechanical knowledge of Caterpillar, Cummins or similar diesel engines Skilled in automotive diagnostics, electrical system repair, hydraulics, and HVAC systems Hands-on experience with heavy equipment operation including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery Ability to read schematics and technical manuals for complex machinery Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures such as alignment, shocks & struts replacement, tire service, and brake repair Excellent problem-solving skills combined with customer service orientation Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various environmental conditions Join us as a Lead Diesel Mechanic to drive excellence in fleet maintenance!
