Overview Join our dynamic team as a Diesel Mechanic and become a vital part of maintaining and repairing a wide range of heavy-duty equipment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse machinery, including construction, agricultural, and industrial equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety. As a Diesel Mechanic, you'll leverage your expertise to troubleshoot complex systems, perform repairs efficiently, and contribute to the smooth operation of our fleet. Your mechanical knowledge and hands-on skills will drive success in this fast-paced environment where every day presents new challenges and opportunities for growth. Duties Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, air brakes, suspension, and electrical systems on various heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, alignment checks, and HVAC system servicing to keep equipment operating at peak performance Utilize schematics, OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) manuals, and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot electrical diagnostics and automotive diagnostics issues accurately Perform fabrication tasks such as welding, soldering, and assembly to repair or modify equipment components as needed Maintain detailed service records, complete inspection reports, and document all repairs using industry-standard procedures Operate heavy equipment safely during troubleshooting or testing phases while adhering to safety protocols Assist with heavy lifting tasks using appropriate tools and equipment to ensure safe handling of large parts or machinery components Experience Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic with dealership experience preferred Extensive knowledge of construction machinery maintenance and heavy equipment operation Skilled in electrical diagnostics, hydraulic troubleshooting, and mechanical repairs on diverse machinery including excavators, cranes, tractors-trailers, and farm equipment Familiarity with schematics, power tools, hand tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic software for electrical systems and diesel engine repair Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during inspections and repairs Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients about technical issues Certification or training in heavy equipment servicing or automotive repair is advantageous Join us in delivering exceptional service through expert maintenance!
