Key Responsibilities Have the ability to access

Computer Diagnostics & Regens:

Connect laptop-based diagnostic software (e.g., Cummins Insite, Detroit

DDDL, CAT

ET, Volvo PTT) to identify fault codes, perform forced Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) regenerations, clear codes, and parameterize Engine Control Modules (ECMs).

Emissions System Maintenance:

Inspect, service, and repair diesel aftertreatment systems, including DPFs, Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) systems, DEF dosing units, and EGR valves.

Mechanical Maintenance & Repair:

Perform complete maintenance and repairs on engines, transmissions, brake systems (air/hydraulic), suspensions, steering mechanisms, and electrical systems.

Preventative Maintenance:

Conduct scheduled PM inspections, oil/filter changes, fluid flushes, and DOT safety inspections to keep the fleet running efficiently.

Troubleshooting:

Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, evaluating root causes to minimize vehicle downtime.

Documentation:

Accurate tracking of all service orders, parts utilized, and diagnostic findings within the shop management system.

Key Qualifications Experience:

2+ years of professional experience as a Diesel Mechanic working on Class 6-8 trucks.

Diagnostic Tool Proficiency:

Proven experience utilizing diagnostic laptops/scanners to run forced regens, monitor live data, and clear active/inactive fault codes.

Certifications:

ASE Diesel Certifications (T2-T8) are a plus.

Licensing:

Valid driver's license required; Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A or B) preferred.

Tools:

Must own a personal set of basic mechanics hand tools and specialty diagnostic equipment.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50-75 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in shop environments.
